Weyanoke Association Coming Together Festival
Family and Systemic Constellations are drawing the attention of community and social justice activists who are seeking new tools to address genuine systemic change within a variety of settings.
With the systemic lens, we learn that what the stories of today’s headlines and controversies are, in fact, clouded with the historic facts of slavery, ethnic cleansing, discrimination, oppression and exclusion. In the community setting, the “client” is the community or group that has been impacted by one or more wider historic forces. Practitioners of Systemic Constellations interview the clients and research the groups to gain historical knowledge that relate to troubles within the current system. Finally, the facilitator, with the help of the group, works to discover what has been forgotten or unacknowledged so that change can take place, both within the community and within for a person’s individual healing. |
The 2017 North American Systemic Constellations Conference welcomes all community and social justice activists to attend the pre-conference and conference to learn about systemic solutions in making a more inclusive community..
Dates are Oct. 5-8 at The Founders Inn and Spa in Virginia Beach, Va. Learn about the pre-conference here. Learn about the conference sessions and presenters here. Register here. Sign up for e-letter here. |
